Melissa Barton, MA, LPC-S has been a licensed therapist since 2007 and a licensed LPC Supervisor since 2012. She has worked with adolescents since she began practicing and has assisted teens and their families with many issues including substance use, high risk behaviors, defiance, family conflict, self-esteem, and peer relationships. Melissa has also been trained in assisting adults who have been affected by trauma and abuse, and who deal with dissociative disorders. Other issues she can assist with include depression, anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, self-esteem, and improving overall life satisfaction. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Texas A&M University (WHOOP!) and a Master's degree from the University of Houston Clear Lake. She has been serving Katy and the surrounding areas for most of her years in practice and understands the needs of the community. She sees therapy as a collaborative effort involving both client and therapist. 

Cheri Locke, MA, LPC Intern, supervised by Melissa Barton, MA, LPC-S, has been licensed since 2015 and has experience working with adolescents, adults, families, and couples in inpatient and outpatient settings. She graduated with a Master's from Houston Baptist University in 2014. She has a client-centered approach and seeks to assist each individual in achieving balance and happiness. Cheri can help individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, mood disorders, and others. She offers quality services at a discounted rate


Kourtni Resnick, MA, LPC Intern has experience working with adolescents (14-19) and adults in private practice and hospital settings. She has assisted adolescents in dealing with self esteem issues, peer and family conflict, as well as self-harm. Her goal as a counselor is to have a positive impact on clients' lives by guiding them towards living fulfilled and authentic lives. She understands the importance of each client receiving personalized treatment, so she incorporates therapeutic techniques that are unique based on each individual's experience, culture, personality, and presenting problem. As a therapist intern, she offers a fresh perspective and has the ability to consult with seasoned therapists within the practice.
